Recommended Use

Best for freshwater and tropical fish tanks from 5 to 50+ gallons. Ideal for community aquariums with small-to-medium fish (tetras, guppies, goldfish, bettas). Works in any rectangular or bow-front tank with glass walls accessible for suction cup placement. Not recommended for ponds or outdoor water features.

How to Use
  1. Select the correct wattage model for your tank size (5W for nano tanks up to ~5 gal, 10W up to ~15 gal, 20W–30W for larger tanks).
  2. Insert the filter cartridge and column cotton into the filter body before installing.
  3. Press the suction cups firmly against the inside glass wall, positioning the unit fully submerged near a corner for best flow.
  4. Plug in and verify water circulation — the output nozzle can be aimed to create gentle current.
  5. Replace cartridge and cotton every 2–4 weeks depending on fish load.
Care and Maintenance
  • Rinse the filter body with aquarium water (not tap water) every 2 weeks to remove trapped debris without killing beneficial bacteria.
  • Replace column cotton pads every 2–4 weeks or when visibly clogged.
  • Replace filter cartridges monthly for optimal biological filtration.
  • Inspect suction cups monthly — replace if they lose grip to prevent the unit from falling to the tank bottom.
  • Do not run the filter dry — always keep it submerged when powered on.
Important Limitations
  • Designed for freshwater aquariums only — not rated for saltwater or marine setups.
  • The fish manure collector accessory is compatible with 10W and higher models only (WP-2300A and above); not compatible with the 5W WP-1300A.
  • Small filter cartridges and small column cotton fit only the WP-1300A (5W model). Large versions are for 10W and above. Confirm your model before ordering replacement media.
  • Not suitable for tanks with strong current-sensitive fish (e.g., some labyrinth fish) without reducing the outlet flow rate.
